Mending Jewellery

I have a piece of jewellery a very dear friend gave me, now I doubt it cost much but it broke a while back. Am just wondering is there anyone or anywhere I could get it fixed that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg?

If it's yellow gold or silver, there's Ray O'Connell on Abbeygate Street, directly opposite Buen Appetito. His shop is the Watch and Jewellery Repair Centre. We use him for most of our shop repairs. He does excellent work at reasonable rates.

Richard Quinn is also excellent, and again will not rip you off.

Sam Beardon in the Bridge Mills also has a good reputation.
