Looking accommodation for myself for September and have seen a lot of properties that require you to set up your own ESB account, instead of having one for the whole building. Is it a good idea to set up your own account with the ESB and how much does it cost approximately? Thanks :)

    Hi Mary,

A person setting up an account in their own name makes them solely liable for the account, so it is advisable to change address details of it if moving to a new property.

The SuperSaver payment plan is the best value option for those who are new customers to ESB Electric Ireland. It is required to set up a direct debit for the payments (every two months) and this automatically applies a discount of 12%. Then, there is a further 2% discount for choosing online billing (receiving statements by email).

    Hope that helps :)
    Una
