Feed a calcium supplement to any pups to the age of about 8 months. I get a powder that is just sprinkled on the nuts a pinch is all they need. Would not waste my money on the tablets that are sold by most pet shops. The calcium in those is for the most part not absorbed by the dog it just goes straight through there system. Vet told me there a while back that they are a waste of money.
For improving there coats a duck egg every so often does a good a job as anything I have ever seen. I dont know why must be something in it.

I give about a third of metal dog bowl. Twice a day. More out of routine than giving just 1 big feed. Up it in season obviously. I feed scraps also. I no lads are in-between on scraps but they go mad for it.
Met a cock pheasant on trip to river last week (very rarely birds here)
    He's in good nick now.

Cheers stog. I'm going about later when funds are doing well & getting a good set up. A few hats & spare batteries etc.
Missed a lot of good clips due to battery & placement issues.
Have the springer in action this year also :)
