No doubles allowed with BDR bookies! I'll give you odds on your 2011 goals if you want.

The only one I really have left is to set a PB in the 5km by the end of year <19:25 and sub 20 by Rathfarnham 5km.

I have a 1 mile race coming up next week where I'm looking to go under 6?

Could start a dedicated thread for bets?

Yes, but in the interests of fair competition and making it interesting for both of us..... Lets say €20 if you break 3hrs or I break 3'10. If both or neither of us make our time then no bet. Deal?

Sub 5:50 is my mile quote for you, i have to be careful of improvers.

A thread is a good idea alright, as long as i'm not the only bookie on here!

Right lads bookies closed for lunch, will reopen at 2pm :)

That gets messy with blowups, if we put a ceiling of 20 euro on it yeah i'd do that.

I intend to be under target. I don't want to have to pay for that. Keep your nose out Mr Slow :P

I meant over target, blow ups would then carry a hefty penalty :D

See, that's just wrong. The only way I go 3'30 is an utter blow up going for sub 3'10. Under your terms I could go out for a 3'15, run a comfortable race and win the bet. Better to be brave and target a difficult time, blow ups should not be punished. I don't want to be on the start-line in berlin thinking, 'sher if I just go for 3'15 I'll probably win that bet with Brian'.

Well it just depends on what you want more - Sub 3:10 or Brian's money.
