I ordered a black fleece and got a purple rainjacket

Did some people get an actual fleece or are they all rainjackets? The label on mine says its a "Bronchos".

Sorry to hear about the colour issue
Always pays to stick to branded resellers for these items. Personally only use Amazon, Gaynors or Outdoorkit for Berghaus, Merrell and Vaude and never a colour issue.

I also will be joining the ranks of 80's aficionados wearing a blue and purple jumpsuit top.

Here's hoping the bottoms arrive soon so I can complete the look.

Have they contacted you about returning it?

I sent a message to them earlier this morning but have heard nothing yet.

I assume they will pay for the return postage as they fooked up.

TBH, I've told them if they want it they can collect it.

Why should we go to the hassle of packaging and paying for delivery back to them after they pulled a fast one on all of us?

Clearly they're playing the numbers game - banking on the fact that a certain percentage of recipients won't bother their arse doing anything about it and they get to shift some excess stock.

Yup... been there. Same thing happened to me about a year ago, they just decided to send me some random brand of the item I ordered as opposed to the brand requested... sent the items back and then they claimed they never received them so I ended up down the cost of the item and the return postage.

I phoned them this morning and got a returns number to send it back by email.
They have a freepost address for returns, but it is not valid from Ireland, so I confirmed that they will pay the cost of postage. (I emailed back the proof of delivery and cost of postage). Will wait and see if they send me back some bright purple Euro to cover refund and postage.

That sounds like a good plan - might do that if I get stonewalled or dicked about.

I should have paid by PayPal. I got a purple thing as well. I been here before with a scratched DVD and had to give up but not this time.

Also raised a dispute with Paypal, after first of all contacting their customer services requesting a refund.

Never ordering anything from them again.

I'm unsure if the UK's "Consumer Direct" or Trading standards will handle complaints from abroad, I've a vague recolection that they don't and that the correct approach is through the European Consumer Centre Ireland.

Registered post was 11.50 and priority airmail was 7.50, went for the cheapest option. Now to fax them the receipt

There are significant European Law protections that apply to internet shopping. Allegedly far in excess of normal consumer law. I guess the European office is your first stop.

the supplier is not based in the EU so the European consumer centre wont be able to do anything for those who have got bad supplies
