I like Scandinavians but after that I would prefer Irish or British men.

    Threads to avoid in AH

    Social Welfare scroungers
    Public Sector scum and layabouts
Foreign wimmin are nicer than irish stuck up biatches..etc

I'd add something to do with WW2 and Israel to that list

I think considering the amount of focus and attention boards gets about how Irish men in general are pretty browned off about Irish women it would be well worth a documentary. 'Sacraficial Lamb' is about a mans experience, trials and tribulations on the tear in Dublins night scene. It starts off with him and his mates getting the taxi to town and ends with him and his mates getting a taxi home.

Well, there is a lack of men in general...there are a lot of boys but not much men like a decent man you could call a gentleman. It's all about attitude and personality; if they are dark with brown eyes it's a bonus. The Irish Rugby and cricket players are definitely some of our real men.

It's not just the Irish men who are attracted to exotic women, Irish women are also attracted to exotic men!

I'm seeing this more often. Most of my female friends are in long-term relationships with foreigners and both of my sisters are married to foreigners. My current guy is foreign and haven't gone out with an Irish man in 4 years.

My observations: I live in Spain where the women are hot but they tend to go for the hot, local men. Hot women go for hot men and visa versa. There's exceptions but generally that's the case. We don't get a look in.

I often wonder if its simply survival of the fittest on a global sense now. So many thousands of years ago "Irish" tribes would have interbred with the tribes, arranged marriages etc for survival. But now it has become a global game of dating, online etc. Perhaps irish men will slowly become extinct?!? Vast majority of lads I know are single, sometimes getting some action but rarely. Irish women seem quite content on being single. Cest la vie, NON?

I'm with you on that, beautiful mostly.

But I've been noticing more and more obesity in Irish women, apart from health implications its damned disgusting to look at (or feel for that matter).

Its disgsuting..grotesquely fat women squeezed into clothes intended for peopel of normal size especially.

I was in town saturday and the amount of lard-buckets wobbling around the place was obscene.

I don't think it's a case of Irish women being content being single, they're probably looking for variety as much as the lads are and I think that's totally acceptable. Widen the gene pool and all that shenanigans.

Lithuanians are the hottest eastern europeans in fairness and they seem to be a lot like Irish people personality wise.I also love the way the lads on here are slagging off the Irish wimminz when most of them are prob single with forever alone t-shirts bitching on the net about it......myself included:p

No not really. However, Irish women have a tendency to expect guys way way out of their league.

Very average or ugly orange Irish girls (Not all of you) want the handsome guy with lots of money and good job while sneering down at the average joe soap.. I see it everywhere.

Don't get me wrong, I see it in guys as well.. But at the end of the day, it's much handier for a girl to pull.. Any whale can get some drunken guy to throw one into her at the end of the night. You don't see this working vice versa.

All in all, no I wouldn't intentionally pick the foreigner, but I'd see why others would.

25 year old men with beer bellies. Works both ways. You don't see that here in Spain.

I hate it when they leave a bar for a smoke (or a burger) and stand blocking the doorway, I'm like 'fvcking fat fvck - MOVE IT' - but I can't of course, so its a case of asking them to move to one side (without touching one of course).

Other than that I find Irish women seriously hot.

Well a colleague of mine who is due to marry a Hungarian girl says the difference as he sees it (having gone out with many Irish and non Irish girls, he's a looker) is that non Irish are "more into their men" where as Irish girls tend to be harsher on their fellas.

Get back to me when he is a year married.
I'd like to read the continuation of this story.

Could not fat people be considered a fire hazard in licensed premises?

I mean if one gets jammed in the fire escape you could be looking at a disaster.

Have to say Eastern European women do tend to be nicer to look at, now im not saying all Irish women but the obesity in Ireland is a growing problem and just appears that Eastern European women do tend to watch what the eat and excercise a lot more regulary.

But still id rather an Irish woman any day over any nationallity, I think its just a culture thing for me that always draws me back to our own Irish ladys.

You are aware they are actually human beings like yourself?

I was in a pub on Saturday when I was approached by a man saying you are really cute and he asked me where I was from? I thanks and that I was from Dublin, he looked a bit disappointed and said 'oh I thought you were Polish or something' and walked off.

So he only found me attractive when he thought I was from somewhere foreign like. Its not the first time that has happened to me either.

    Omg! That happened to me!
I was in a bar the other night and exactly the same thing! This guy comes over and starts chatting me up. Then goes "oh you're from Dublin, I thought you were Polish". I didn't know how to take this, so he goes "I mean that in the good way".

Really don't get how you can "look Polish" though!

Well they're not like me at all.

However I know what you mean, like they've got feelings and stuff?.

    Then lose the lard.

But regardless of that, its just my opinion on fatties and IRL I wouldn't dare insult someone like that.

Take it as a compliment :). The polish do tend to have a certain look about them same as Polish men stand out a mile away compared to Irish men.

usual tripe i hear from both sides-

Irish women think irish men are afraid of them or just fat, rude or ugly.

irish men think irish women are either fat,or stuck up,or just plain rude.

*yes i know they are as both bad as each other and im sure you're the nice girl or boy next door, just sick of drunks coming on to ye..

Probably because I'm big and have a shaved head, but I've been mistaken for being Polish or east European a few times.. Sometimes I have a laugh and pretend I can't speak english :P

non irish women don't come with the same absolutely baseless delusions of grandeur that many irish women seem to have
