I'm looking on Inkjet.ie for cartridges for my printer and notice some have comments regarding chips like
Compatible Photo Black Cartridge (Without chip) high capacity
    and
Compatible Black Cartridge high capacity (With chip)
Can anyone explain what this means and do I need to order a chip for the cartridge that is "without chip"?

this is the link to my devices cartridges.

Without chip means that you remove the chip from your current empty cartridges and apply it onto the new one, you may need to glue it on, I'm sure the chipless cartridge would come with instructions on how it should be done,

the cartridge should still work without a chip, it just wont give you a reading on the level of ink remaining in the cartridge
