I was in a pub on Saturday when I was approached by a man saying you are really cute and he asked me where I was from? I thanks and that I was from Dublin, he looked a bit disappointed and said 'oh I thought you were Polish or something' and walked off.

So he only found me attractive when he thought I was from somewhere foreign like. Its not the first time that has happened to me either.

Good spot there! And you must be from Tallaght. Good job boys. Looked like we found our killer..........

The Polish women could never out match how down to earth and easy going our Irish women are :pac:.

right may be new but i'm just wondering is it just because they look "exotic" :P or is it their demeanour (sp?)
Those pearly white ( cost $1000 to polish ) teeth and brown eyes are so captivating

It makes sense biologically for people to be attracted to people with different genes than them, it's good for the local gene pool.

Then why did you write about it on the internet if it didn't bother you?

Polite company is another word for snobby. You should of given him a dig in the head and dragged him back to your barn an rode the b'jaysus out of him like any self respecting dejected Irish lass would.

ok ok I admit it, Im just slaggin ya here. TBH he sounds like an asshole and he wasn't worth your time.

Well a colleague of mine who is due to marry a Hungarian girl says the difference as he sees it (having gone out with many Irish and non Irish girls, he's a looker) is that non Irish are "more into their men" where as Irish girls tend to be harsher on their fellas.
The Irish ones are a little like "youre lucky to even be with me" and treat em mean, less carrot and more stick.
Whereas the non Irish girls do not see it as "beneath" them to really look after their man. Not in a slavish/mammyish way but...more carrot, less stick...if that makes sense.

This might sound old fashioned to us now and this is obviously somewhat of a generalization but speaking for myself, the idea of someone being really into looking after me and me after them sounds pretty appealing.

Plus, everyone likes a bit of strange.

Your actually correct. They tend to be more traditional and less "Sex and the city".

Surely that works both ways in that a girl who thinks like that would expect their partner to be the bread winner, I wouldn't mind being a bit like that myself if I didn't have to worry about money and my career.
