Camping Near Lough Dan

Anyone know if there's anywhere to camp near Lough Dan i've heard its private land where the lake is itself but the surroundings is national park land ? Can anyone shead some light on this?.....

And is it illegal and you'll get caught in these places or just illegal and noone ever checks?

The scout center is still there, I think, maybe you can camp there (prob for a wee fee)?

possibly, but there have been a lot of issues and it's generally not approved by staff anymore. The centre is staffed every weekend these days so you will not get away with chancing it either. That said no harm in asking though, www.loughdan.com (it seems to be broken again
