OP you're an anachronism. Buy a new phone or suffer the inevitable social psuedoconsequences.

    Forever alone etc...

Having worked in the phone industry since 1999, I have pretty much a warehouse of every phone made since c1996. First one was an Ericsson GA628. Still works! I also have a Motorola that is on the old TACS network. Not even texts!

No, there's bound to be someone else out there who understands Latin text messages.

My first phone, and what a phone! Every teenager had one at the time, had snake which we thought was amazing. You could make your own ringtones by entering in musical notes if I remember correctly.

    memories!

I used to have a phone similar to yours maybe slightly older, lasted years until it stopped working. I got a new phone so didn't mind, tended to upgrad my phones after that but once I got a phone that only lasted a year and had already a decent phone but upgraded. Silly me, don't fix it if it ain't broke so stopped upgrading my phones since and only get new ones unless my phone goes out of order. Currently have my current phone for two years but the screen is getting scratched, but will hang onto it for a while anyway, if it starts giving me trouble I might go for a simple smartphone!

Mine now is probably an upgrade or two of that. Never broken. That's staying power :D

Memories indeed! I stupidly traded this in after having it for years, despite it still working. These phones were actually built to last, not like the Sony Ericsson I have now. Having said that, I now refuse to get a different phone until the old one completely conks.

Stay with your old one, people. As long as it makes and receives calls and texts, that's all you need.

This one by any chance? I still have one as a back up phone, got it around 2002

No It was this one :D

Some damn good times with that phone. Could even print out your own picture and had stencils to cut into the shape of the cover.

Had an Esat Digiphone Speakeasy SIM card until it stopped working last week. Got it back in 2001. The girl in The Carphone Warehouse thought I was taking the pi$$ when I went in to replace it! She was gobsmacked when I put it on the counter! Still have the same number as it was just a replacement. Does that count?? :D
