Hmm, seems like APple may have folded too easily. They dont have a business if everybody who has an iPhone gets $1000 in payments.

Wouldn't really work that way though. In reality they'd stick together a class-action suit, get 5,000 names on it and in the end Apple would be asked to pay each person $10 or something.

The only winner really is the lawyer. Most likely this guy put together a personal case - he's a lawyer, so his legal fees are nil. His intention was to test the water, and if he won, he'd stick together a much larger case and collect a big wad of cash in legal fees.
I very much doubt there's any altruism going on here.

Of course, a ruling in Korea doesn't apply internationally. The law or argument under which this case was won might not exist or stand up in any other country. It would equally require a lawyer or someone with very deep pockets to go to all the hassle of bringing Apple to court.

very good point.
I just downloaded the i phone tracker for my mac and was amazed it shows everywhere i have being since 2010 to march of this year.

Bruffkid, have you tried upgrading to the latest version of iOS? It should purge the cache file.

I think 4.3.3 already only keeps the cache for 7 days, no longer backs it up, and even encrypts it so that if someone robs your phone they cannot access it.

However, it could be that you still have old backups in iTunes. If you want to get rid of the data, I suspect you need to delete those.

Just a hunch.
