    Taxi, Very limited bus service to Ballymount due to cutbacks, after 13.20 the next bus from city to ballymount is around 19.30.

    Kingswood might be closer depending on where you're going in Ballymount.

    Depending on where on the Industrial Est you want to be you can get the 77/77a and get off at Walkinstown Roundabout, which pretty much puts you at the start of the Industrial Est. Tight, but do-able if you know where you need to be on the estate. Luas straight from Busaras to Kylemore, again depending on where you want to be on the Est, would be quickest.

    That's a long old walk...minimum 15-20 minutes from personal experience...

    This is what I would do if I had time, just a bit of walk from the roundabout but it's not so far

    But OP, you have a specific time and only 40 minutes. So if this is something important like a job interview just get a taxi.
    You don't want to be stressing over getting there on time
