umm, you can't exactly stop people meeting for beers in Dublin now can you?

I know that but Im just saying not to organise a After Hours dublin beers night at the same time as one down the country.

Looking at the poll its same likely the Beers could be in galway. I'm based in the midlands at the moment. If the Dubs organised a seperate event I'd probably go to that. Not because I want to. But I've never been to a beers before so I want to go where the crowd is. And if someone organises beers in Dublin a lot of those who would have been happy to travel down the country wont do so if the have the exact same event in their city.

It wouldn't be organised on the same night. That's not going to happen. It might not happen at all, just saying that if people wanted to meet for beers in Dublin (or anywhere else) then there ain't much that can be done about it!

There are a lot of people in Dublin that would have to spend a fortune on travel and accommodation if it was in Galway. It's logical they won't want to travel all the way - and you can't blame them.

I am not in Dublin, but it is a hell of a lot closer than Galway for me.

One could get a lift + pitch a tent. It's as cheap or expensive as you want to make it

I'm glad this beers won't be in Dublin, when was the last time an AH beers was not in dublin? I might actually show up this time

Not slept in a tent in about 15 years! Unfortunately I can't see myself pitching a tent somewhere in Galway to meet some AHers. I'm sure you are all lovely, but I'll pass this time if it's Galway ;)

    Me neither!

I'm sure something can be sorted out for you. Whats the maximum distance you'll travel to see any randomly selected group of AHers?

Whether or not there is a lot doesnt matter. At the end of the end its what each individual has to spend. Whats the difference between someone in Dublin have to pay for travel and accommodation in Galway and someone in Galway having to pay for travel and accommodation to go to a beers event in Dublin?

Also with a lot of people coming from the one area (Dublin) people with cars could share lifts, reducing travel costs.

The difference is that people in Dublin dont need people from galway to attend.

To be honest, it isn't the distance, it is the overall cost. I can stay with friends in Dublin. This time last year it would have been fine, but unfortunately the cost of getting to say, Galway, plus accommodation and drinks is just too much for me at the moment.

Jesus Degsy you're a grown man of over 40 years of age would you not stand back and let the beers go ahead, if it fails it fails and you can tell everyone "I told you so".

I don't want to go to a beers in Dublin, cause it seems to be full of angry people who hate the rest of the country or something.

Why does Galway need Dublin people anyway? Why not have AH beers around the country and hook up via satellite :p Find the last man/woman standing in each venue :p:D

Yeah but I think super-rush is just going to make a shortlist out of the more popular ones including "Other"'s listed. I might be wrong though...

What are you stalking my posts for? Are you going to be at ANY beers?

The hell you are..you're just stirring it up.

    Pot, Kettle, Black

To be honest I was shocked when I read that you were in your 40's. From the childish bickering you were doing earlier I would have said you were no more than 15/16 years old.

Your not interested in travelling so why dont you just go away and let the rest of us organise our night out.

No you are throwing your toys out because the beers won't be in town and now you're stirring sh1t.

Don't post in the thread again or you will be banned.

This is the last warning for everyone to keep on topic.

We'll do another poll for dates. Maybe pick 4 dates in July.

Everybody is partied out in Waterford after last weekend, I'd say Spraoi won't be as lively this year

I know I'm a bit anti Galway on account of I want it in Kilkenny but with the races on this month is accommodation over there going to be a bit pricey and scarce?
