    Hi there,

Hoping for some help & new to site so bare with me....

Cancelled Sky sub a few months back. Very happy with UK terrestrial channels using sky box on freeview. Also have RTE1, 2 & TG4 on aeriel. Working perfectly up to 3 days ago. Have started getting interference accross the two. If watching eg BBC1, RTE1 will suddenly popup on screen & disappear again. This will continue every 3 mins. It happens in reverse aswell if watching RTE channels. Have plugged out, switched off etc to no avail. I really do not want to go back to Sky again. Any ideas????

Bare yourself, I'm keeping my clothes on . . .

Seriously though, the tv seems to be switching between sources, might just be as simple as a faulty remote, maybe a sticking button. Did you try a different scart lead?

Thanks for that. Will check scarts later.

    Next time will use spellcheck:)

Hey everyone, I'm a new user to Boards also and haven't a clue how to start a new thread so I'm infiltrating this one!;)

I'm hoping to get a new TV in the next week or two. I was wondering, with the TVs that are Saorview approved, does that mean that the Saorview receiver is built into the TV? Also, can you have a Saorview and a Freeview (UK) receiver plugged into the same TV? I want to still receive UK channels but can't afford Sky or UPC.

    Thanks for any help! :)

    (1) If Saorview approved TV yes inbuilt Saorview receiver.
    (2) AFAIK both a Saorview and a Freeview receiver (think you mean set top box) can be plugged into the same TV.
