D licence process length & cost

Hi folks. Looking to get my D licence and buy my own minibus ( i want the D though, not just the D1).So i'm Just wondering how long it takes roughly from receipt of theory test pass, to end of the process. And how much in lessons roughly etc. I've never driven anything bigger than a transit. Many thanks for any help.
