Just wondering...is it possible to install a different EPG in Media Center?

Yes, but you'll need to get/buy some software to do it - there's no capability in Windows to add an additional EPG.

You could look at BigScreenEPG which will take an EPG feed like the one from XMLTV and import it into Media Centre, and then you can go into Channel Edit and assign the new EPG to channels.

XMLTV will give you two weeks of schedules for pretty much every channel that's on UPC/Sky/etc., including HD channels properly tagged. XMLTV will require you to do a bit of command-line wizadry, but there's lots of help in your favourite search engine :)

BigScreenEPG is about US$20 for a two-year subscription, but you can use it on more than one PC. XMLTV is free.

There's a HUGE amount of stuff on Sat/Windows Media Centre/EPG/etc on AVForums.
