And the amount of estrogen released into sewerage from the Pill can turn fish in receiving waters hermaphrodite and infertile.

And don't re-use plastic water bottles what have been in the sun because the stuff leaches out of it and could contribute to blokes growing man boobies
    :pac:

    Yes, really.

Of course it's not the only way to develop breasts.

But the ones that develop because of the estrogen mimickers are purtier :p

Cool. Same dude thinks tis a slur on the indigenous people of Bolivia that the coca plant is listed as a dangerous controlled substance because it's just what they do down there.
And he's been misquoted too. By deviance he could have meant boobies, as they're a bit of a deviation of the classic male form.

So if these mice in the study are "deer mice", why don't they have any antlers?

The people of that area have chewed the coca leaf for thousands of years. It is heavily entwined with their culture and widely used.

Probably a lot less harmful than alcohol.

I heard this a long, long time ago. That's why we were told to reuse bottles for only a week in school!

Reports on this started around 1995.
Babies bottles are now BPA free with even a glass range.
Bottled water is the one most to blame for this.

Anything does everything to you nowadays. Welcome to modern media. I didn't read the link but I'm guessing those mice got cancer too, right?

Is this because mice can't drive?
Pretty sure they couldn't do that before...

Ah yes - another example of how the over-simplification of an issue, due to scientific ignorance, makes for great headlines.

Folks: there's plastic, and then there's plastic. You can look at most plastic bottles and see what they're made of, and only a few plastics contain BPA at all. You'll find that most drinks bottles etc. are made from a plastic called PET which contains absolutely no BPA.

One plastic that could be a cause of concern is PVC, which is not used in food & drink applications at all, but another is polycarbonate plastic. There are different grades of polycarbonate, such as industrial grade, and "food grade", which is designed to - you guessed it - not leach harmful chemicals in to your food or drink.

It takes a special kind of laziness to not even bother checking a story against Wikipedia ...
