The Disagreement Forums

Iv been on many a different forums over the years and 1 thing I have noticed is no matter how 100% right someone is, how scientifically obvious a statement is or how blatently the truth is spoken....someone will always disagree!

Instead of cruising around these forums looking for posts to barrate why not just come here and just disagree with me/everyone for fun. (This thread is not built for heated arguements, your goal is just to oppose everything that is said!)

    Let me start with a statement;

The Grass is green & the sky is blue

Actually they are not. something does not inherently have a colour but it is how your brain interprets the wavelengths of light reflected by the chemicals in the object. At the moment the sky is grey and the grass is brown

    Boo-yeah!!!!

    ok my go.

The only thing i can be sure of is that i can doubt

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 766 ✭✭✭ger vallely

I'm pretty certain that if you were to think about that you might possibly find that there's a chance you could be wrong..

I can't be sure you exist, I can only be sure that I'm doubting, therefore your certainty is probably just a figment of my imagination.

    My turn.

I'm not posting in a thread entitled "The Disagreement Forums" in the After Hours forum on boards.ie.

Not when the sun bleaches it from burning it up - and the sky is a different colour at night! :p

    Prove it.
and 1 thing I have noticed is no matter how 100% right someone is, how scientifically obvious a statement is or how blatently the truth is spoken....someone will always disagree!
Do you have a source for this lovely bit of conjecture?

We don't disagree with everything you say because it's fun. We disagree with everything you say because it's wrong.

Oh pah, how typical. Generalisations left, right and centre. If you really knew what you were talking about you would know that grasses can have other colours than green and the sky isn't always blue depending on the time of day.

Yes... that seems a good argument. I think i'll add a  for good measure too.

Ive also seen yellow grass! sky can also be red/orange (at sun set and sun rise) when the sky is covered in clouds it is white/grey.

And what if your colour blind, you will never see what everyone else does, so of course they are going to disagree.....

If your glass wasn't always half-empty, you might mention that for the other six months it isn't dark :P
