Viennettas used to be way nicer-now you almost have to look for the cheapish chocolate amongst the watery icecream. KP skips taste of nothing now but they used to be the nicest crisps when i was growing up.

Rowantree Mackintosh chocolate. Nestle stuff is insipidly sweet, and you can't eat a kit kat anymore without thinking of the whole baby food thing

Chips. Remember when everyone fried the **** out of their chips and didn't think twice about what it was doing to their arse? Oven chips take ages, taste bland and cannot be compared to greasey yolks!

Also, the mystery of hearing a song on the radio and not being able to find it again!

chinese food - I dont care, MSG was awesome
smarties - bring back the colourings
cars - were best in the 90s before all this emissions crap ruined them
solder - when it had lead in it , it was easy to work with , the pure tin or silver stuff is sh*te

    Things ending and staying ended.

Time was, TV channels had a thing called Closedown. They would stop broadcasting around midnight. The announcer would wish you a goodnight and they'd display a testcard till the early morning. It was time to go to bed. There were a lot fewer channels back then and they weren't as filled up with repeats. So if you missed a show when it was aired it might be years, or never, before you got to see it again. Seeing the Star Wars or Indian Jones movies was a treat, reserved for Easter and Christmas. Now, they are on every other weekend.

Don't get me wrong, part of me loves this always-on, fully connected and constantly indexed world we live in now but we lost something by never being able to lose anything again. There's almost nothing you can't go out, find and replace with minimum effort these days. And the end result is everything is a little less precious.

    Freedom.

You're not allowed to do anything more these days and what you are is subject to regulation and CCTV monitoring

also cars. now a dull isolating experience full of useless electronic gimmicks & automatic gearboxes
