Black ops update 23/06/2011

Just logged into xbox live and there was an update for black ops.

Anybody know what was in the update? I heard they were going to nerf the femas but the stats look the same I think?

I wouldn't read too much into the in-game stats.
They are going to nerf it. Started using the Famas about a week ago. Never really liked it and thought all the talk about it being overpowered was hysteria.
Last week put a supressor on it.... wow was I wrong.

Hardcore CTF is gone and replaced with flags so Hardcore (Domination, HQ and CTF on random)

Tiny bit peeved at that. Some of us like HCTF on its own!:mad:

Really? Some people around here will be really p1ssed off with that. Any other new gametypes?

Not that I noticed, only went on for a few games this afternoon.

Headquarters came up an awful lot in the lobbies I was in, I only got one game of CTF

Only positive thing is that Second Chance is banned in those games.

I started using the femas too last week but dont like it so it wont bother me if they have nerfed it...Im more of an AK-47 man myself

• Security Updates.
• New playlists – Flags and Bombs
• C4 can no longer be warped to player carrying bomb in S&D and Sabotage.
• Removed erroneous “Reset to Default” message when trying to load a DLC map you do not have.
• In-game icons (care package icons, etc) no longer appear in the Create A Class menu.
• Support for Annihilation map pack, available June 28th on Xbox LIVE!
• Fix for a rare crash related to weapons.
• Game no longer crashes when Xbox LIVE servers are down.

• Ninja Pro Perk no longer makes sounds when mantling or diving to prone.

Just out of curiosity Raven, where did you find that info yesterday? On a black ops forum? I checked a few places but couldnt find anything on it

Yeah I have it bookmarked too. I just load it up everything I hear that there is a patch. He updates it a few hours after the patch goes live.
I would rather they did it in a feed, but I'm just grateful that we get that info.

Makes no differance what they do, the game is a bucket of ****3 and it always will be. Its out almost a year and the online game play is still seriously ****ed.

Most people I know have stopped playing it. Myself I haven't been on for a while then decided to play it again this week. First game! One bloke running round with a handgun with over double the next highist score. Next game, 3,2,1 go....... enemy napalm strike incoming......

They can stick it where the sun don't shine!

Isnt this gonna keep happing though.Not that the famas had been tuned down the next powerful gun is gonna be too good at something.

I think the AK, Galill and AUG are fairly balanced when compared against eachother. Each as their own strength and weakness.

AK - feels more powerful, recoil is pretty predictable and natural with a much straighter upwards movement. Aim fire is decent too.

Galill - not much recoil at all especially with a silencer but it's weak, fire rate isn't too great neither.

AUG - fire rate is it's strongest point but there is a good bit of recoil to deal with.

I have not experienced how the Famas after the latest patch for obvious reasons. But it seems to be a step in the right direction anyways. Shame it's taken them this long to sort it out. Better later than never heh.

Rapid fire is my only grief in the general sense... as well as the over dependence on ghost. Rapid fire needs to be removed from the AK74u namely. You simply do not stand a chance in a fair gun fight against it even if using the Famas

For your information he killed me twice. Its when I went to video replay and watched it there that I noticed the crap that was going on.
3 people shooting at him and he takes them all out with a pistol.

More out of curiosity but could you upload a clip of this from yer man's perspective?

edit - not slating you or calling BS exactly. Tis a tad mystifying for that to happen and yer man to top score is all. Hard to fathom.

How can you blame the game for this? He was probably host (or this didn't really happen).

TBH i think there are a lot of glitches in black-ops . I remember i think it was doc who put up a vid of his friend taking some unreal damage and didnt go down.
Also my 3 year unlocked 135 gs points (completing black-ops on vet ) by pressing a few buttons on the main screen :eek:.

this game is a load of crap for me now , i use to love HC CTF . now i hardly get a game of it."FLAGS" why dont they just call it HCHQ and be done with it , never liked HQ nows its in every dam choice .
Which ever bright spark came up with this idea needs a reality check , oh look a lot of our clients really like playing HCCTF lets shorten the game time and trow in a load of game they dont play , aww yeah there gonna love that...:mad: idiots . roll on MW3
