About 20% of people do. So 4 out of 5 times you get a perfectly good drink for free

If its down to my local its usually 50-70 euro. On a big night out 100-150 euro.

    Regularly 180 Euro in Dublin.

    Taxi 15-20 each way = 35.
    Taxi in town = 10
    2 clubs (2x10) = 20.
    No food.
    Drinks until 4.30-5am usually. = 9x5.50 = 49.5

    Still only 114.50!
I havent a clue where the rest of the cash is going. I must be drinking more than I thought.

    Regularly 250 in China.
    Taxi 2x5 euro = 10
Splitting mega round with guys for big table of girls 80 euro.
Vodka Belvedere bottle with mixers 130 euro.
    Shots 40 euro.

    250. Easy.

You guys are doing it wrong.
Few cans for predrinks + guestlist in NV + €1 drinks until midnight + nitelink home at 4am = €15 TOPS.

If I'm down the local, €10-15.

    In town, €50.

Transport runs 24-7 and my work ticket covers that
Bars don't close so no need to pay for a club

On a long session till about 6 or 7 the following morning it would be about €35 (10 beers + kebab)
On a normal relaxing evening out, €15-€20

    "predrinks"

nearly in the same category as spraying on a fake tan before you go to the beach to get a tan

What's "predrinks"? Is that, er, drinking before you....drink....?

A lot of exaggeration in some posts methinks.

5 pints is enough for anyone - 20/25 euro
Takeaway on way home - 10 euro.

Clear head the next day - priceless.

Ah, nothing like a drink to get you in the mood for eh, a drink.

I should have unfollowed this thread, waking up to mails from it on a Friday morning is making it seriously hard to concentrate on work. Maybe I'll have a few pre-drinks for lunch, 'cos they're not drinks, just predrinks.

I'm guessing a lot of people on here don't buy rounds when they go out? That really sucks money out of your pocket!

with all the stories of stingy feckers in rounds you'd be mad to. Was never a huge drinker myself so tended to stay out of them anyway.

Maybe so! Although I like to take the viewpoint that you only live once and sure what's a few drinks in the grand scheme of things....probably only to make myself feel better staring into an empty wallet the next day though!

6 cans/bottle of cheap wine before I go out: 5 euro
A pint or 2 after going out: 10 euro
    Nitelink home: 5 euro
    Centra hot chicken roll: 2.39

Most nights...22.39, I'd never spend more than 30 on a night out, that's just crazy...

About twenty or thirty euro - tobacco (if I need it), taxi fare and pre-drinks! I don't buy anything in the pubs. Get nicely drunk beforehand, and then go out. Saves me a lot of money.

Saves a lot of money in fairness. All of yiz spending over 100 euro on a night out is crazy. Drinking at home with friends or going to another friend's house for drinks and then going out saves a lot of money rather than buying drink in pub.

Are you still in Brum ? Cos 13 pints here are a lot easier on the pocket than Dublin. Its travesty really that I'm moving away from this place, probably back to Dublin. Really wish they could sort Digbeth out though , its got so much potential

    No. I,m back in dublin,

Too much. I don't really get hangovers. Instead I get a deep sense of shame when I look at my wallet or the shrapnel in my pocket the morning after.

Makes no difference to me. I could have half a crate of bottles and still go mad on pints and shots for the night and spend a fortune. Christ, what's going to happen to me when I get to Oz, I'll probably have to give it up.

I'd spend an average of €30-€50 on a night out once a week.
€10 bottle of wine / predrinks
€5 taxi there, another 5 back
    €5 food after
And remainder spent on drinks in the pub.
