Where is nightlife in Achill Island?

Hi I'm planning a weekend to Achill with some friends and we were wondering where most pubs and nightlife are located in Achill? We'll be depending on taxi's for transport round at night so we'd like to book accomodation in an area close to the nightlife.

alices in achill sound or the hotel down in keel (i think its the achill house hotel) are the 2 main places from what i know.
