Does anybody know if the results are on the notice boards tomorrow 13-6-2011? Before the online results are posted.

I think so. I've not heard anything definite tho aside from a lecturer saying that he'll have seen ours (4th year Computing) by tomorrow evening.

I'll be taking a spin up in the afternoon to check!

I dont think I received a pin for my results, if I did I haven't a clue what it is anyway. Is there a way to get another pin or will I just have to check noticeboards? Anyone know for definite when they go up on noticeboards?

It says on the sheet with the pin to "keep this document safe as the Institute does not re-issue student PIN numbers and will not give out student PIN numbers over the phone".

    There are contact numbers however.

    Email : ogara.sheelagh@itsligo.ie

    Good luck.

Now that I think of it, I think they gave me my PIN one year when I lost it. Can't remember how I got it but I think it was over the phone. Worth a shot at the very least.

Got my results anyways and I got a 2.1 so delighted with that.

Anyone want to explain 'acad standing' & 'credits awarded' to me please?

And how important is GPA? I heard someone say if you fail a subject you might not need to repeat if your average overall is high. I have no idea about this?

The academic standing is your overall situation.

It could be fail if you have not passed any modules.
Exemptions granted means that you have failed one or more modules but not them all
Then pass merit distinction 2.2 2.1 and first are all passing standings.

Generally with credit a full time student does 60 credits a year or if semesterised 30 credits a semester.

Do you have a specific question.
