Alright, alright, alright, I'll make parsely sauce - not sure which of these herbs is the parsely though. Smells a bit unusual....

Oooh nice slippers Ramette - size 5.5 I hope.

Rube, size 12 what do you mean size 12 *Ali gets very high pitched*
I'll have you know that my feet are small and dainty - not giant sized clod hoppers.

Now I'll do a few spuds to go with that bacon and cabbage.

Well you want them to be comfortable don't you? Besides there is extra space for storing your cooking ingredients. If they are loose just tuck the bunny ears inside.

*Desperately trying to get out of the hole he dropped himself in... and maybe get a nibble or two of the food*

Hey who has been at my geraniums before they flower? Looks like they have been attacked by locusts.

    .............erm

    I got hungry:o

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,692 ✭✭✭Alice1

Geraniums? Crikey, I thought they were parsley - sorry 'bout that Rube honey.

I'm not even sure they were geraniums either - that strange odour...what does it remind me of....cabbage-carrotts-cannabis -oh my Lord, Rube have you been growing cannabis in our flower pots?

Janey if the Drugs Squad raid us we're in big trouble. After all, we are all far too feeble to run away.

Have to say though, that parsely sauce was very pleasant.

Remember the good old days when we were in single figures?

Oh Yes Alice they were Geraniums, I know cos the young man up the road told me what they were. Not seen them flower yet, but I am sure they were going to soon.

Nice lazy Sunday in front of the TV for me.... a very long lazy Sunday waiting for the Canadian Grand Prix to start...and finish.

Someone stole my ice cold cider though. Did it while I was watching the TV

*Looks suspiciously at Cicero, especially as he has been absent for a while.*

    Evening gentle folk
Just want to alert you to the fact that tomorrow there is a full moon AND a total lunar eclipse and the moon is apparently going to be red in color, so no need to panic, we will all remain calm and lock up BBDBB coz we know about the werewolf tendancies!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,144 ✭✭✭✭Cicero

You mean the moon isn't always full?...what happens the rest of it?...where does it go?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,692 ✭✭✭Alice1

Oooh exciting! What time Ramette? I do want to see it.

    Cicero, shrup

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,303 ✭✭✭Ramette

oh lordy, em.... well you see Cicero the moon IS always full but it is a bit like looking at a glass of water and some will say it is half full or half empty, some people see the moon as full and some see it as quarter full..
**scuttles off to sitting room to avoid any more awkward questions**

Well, Ramette, why would I change the habits of a lifetime? Sure I always do a moondance @ full moon - in the nip. Keeps the undesirables at bay.

Did someone say dance? Should I fetch the feather fans?

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

**tries to hide the moon BBDBB gave me in case Alice sees it and does an impromptu striptease** (cue burlesque music...)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,692 ✭✭✭Alice1

Just havin' a wee practise dance here in front of PC - dat is one strange moon....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,551 ✭✭✭Rubecula

    Dat is one strange dance......

*Averts eyes but risked a single eyeball with a quick peek....... mainly to make sure Alice has fogotton to guard her biscuits*

If you are unsure what a lunar eclipse is, it is when the Earth is directly between the sun and the moon and so the moon goes into shadow. But light is deflected around the Earth by it's atmosphere, so instead of the moon being totally blacked out in shadow, it gets a diffuse light via Earth's atmosphere. the colour red is due to impurities in the Earth's atmosphere.

That is a bit simplified but covers the pertinent points in a nutshell.

I'll get my telescope so I can view the sights...... Dunno if Alice will mind me ogling her that way, but it does have a camera attachment and prints will be availably by Friday at a small cost.
