Anyone under 40 should have their posting restricted until they prove they are paying for the broadband they use from money they earn themselves.

So I think the oldest reliable response so far was that there is a poster who may, if he is still with us (here on boards!!) be in his 70s.

Is that the oldest? Any advances on 70?

I think the youngest was twelve. I myself am a small child.

38:D. Too old to be a child, yet too young to be put in a home.....

Wow, you were born before WW2? You have lived in nine decades? I think you must be the winner so far.

One of my earliest memories is of tar barrells being placed in large fields so as to prevent german planes landing. Dont know if this was effective. Whenever a plane was heard overheard my mother, RIP, used to say "I hope it is not a gerry Bomber". Enough of this nostalgia!

When I am 73, I will hear an angle grinder on some local development, and say, "I hope Fingers Fingleton is not behind this"!
