Yeah it's open at that time alright. I was there early one morning. I ordered a pint of Heinoooo and an orange bacardi breezer. They didn't have the bacardi breezer but neglected to say anything and tried to hand out a vodka and orange. I laughed in his face but he didn't see the problem! Hopefully they have improved since then.

i flew to states couple of years ago, don't remember exact time but i do remember having a couple of pints in the departures lounge pre flight. must have been around 7.30. defo before normal opening hours.

Just on dublin airport bars. Waiting for aircoach last week i had time for a pint in arrivals bar. I was standing at the bar beside a guy who'd just ordered a pint of guinness, as the barman started pulling the first pint he looked at me and said "you alrigh" to which I said "pint aswell please". Anyone who's ever worked in a bar, as I have, will know that 'a pint' is Guinness. So ordering from this typically Irish looking barman(fat, cynical, bored, uninterested etc) i didn't expect "of wha" to be his stupid answer. I did notice that he topped it up from different tap to which he started pulling it from which didn't have any ill effects. Thankfully.

You're leaving when they start to open up.

You can get drinks on the flight, unless it's rather short, then why not get a drink where ever you're going to?
