what have you got to back that up?

*edit*: no this isnt an attempt to try and have a go at drayme, i am curious to know if it has been posted somewhere or something reliable as to why exactly ryder hasnt been featured on anything other than one segment and then a squash match last week.

Seriously John Piermani said it before on one of the Torch podcasts. Kevin Dunn was the person who made the call to confiscate Zack's signs when WWE was doing that. You cant claim that Kevin Dunn is a major fan or anything. If so Zack would be on TV more.

Not having Zack on Raw is right out of Dunn and McMahon's playbook.

i mean ziggler is getting a push (im a big ziggler fan by the way) but he is no where near the mic man zack is and can be!

push him ffs! I think they are just f*cking with him now because they can - its where vince, dunn et al get their f*cking jollies - the guy is getting himself over by himself, he has the backing of the superstars, both present and former but is still being arse'd about - its not right!

It could be used as part of a build up story. Have Ryder be REALLY pissed on TLIS, for a couple of weeks - then have him 'lose it' backstage and come out and attack Kofi or someone like that - as a way to make sure the WWE takes note of him. It would start heelish, but I think he could get fans back on side very quickly after an initial TV blow out - once he has 'established' himself

Of course, I don't believe this is what they will do. He likely wasn't on last night cause the WWE don't care.

I genuinely believe he will be on next week's Raw jobbing.

Yeah - they love to humiliate or job out the home-town hero for some reason. They've do it fairly regularly.. in particular I recall JR, Mickie James and CM Punk being humiliated or losing in their hometowns.

The absence of any true competition to WWE means that they feel they can push whoever they want and ignore whoever they want. Imagine if someone had emerged during the Monday night war in a similar way to Ryder? His internet shows would not only be acknowledged but probably over-hyped until we were fed up of him.

You'd imagine that they look at the ratings and at the buy-rate for Over The Limit and think that it might be an idea to give a chance to someone who has gained a good level of support - but no.. they ignore the guy and further annoy/disillusion an already dwindling and p1ssed off portion of their audience.

Was at mondays raw show and although he didnt have a tv match he got a pretty loud pop for his super stars match. Not gonna post spoilers bit he faced Primo in a nice long 15 min match. He also gave a decent promo. All through Raw on several occasions a "We want Ryder" chant broke out. Not sure it could be heard on tv. All in all it was a pretty good show.

Guess it's time to riot then

    From wrestling observer:

Meltzer was texted during the show by a WWE employee stating that the reason Zack was not on the show is because "Vince hates the internet". Backstage, many, many people were upset that the person getting the most chants throughout the night was not brought out for a promo or even a quick appearance in his hometown who clearly wanted him there. Meltzer got some more information today on the thought process.

Evidently, it was indeed a rib/joke being played on Zack. Zack had spent his prior show talking up how he was in his hometown, how excited he was, how this could be his chance to finally shine and move up on the card. Zack was told a few days ago he would have a promo and a match on RAW and would turn face on RAW, even being able to acknowledge his youtube show and Internet Champion gimmick. This is why Zack was so excited the past few days.

The rib went so far as there was even a fake script and timeline alloted for Zack to come out and wrestle, besides Superstars, with his RAW promo and on air face turn. When the time came close for this to happen, Zack was informed plans changed and he would not be on air. This was literally during the broadcast. The entire rib was Vince's idea and was because Vince is not a fan of the "bashing" Zack does about WWE and sees it as "giving in" to someone who is visibly bashing the company with "dropping ball" clips, etc.

Meltzer comments that the real joke is on the fans, as the reaction to him not being on air is not pretty and as the rib is being revealed, even less people are happy. Multiple wrestlers have stated their public displeasure with the rib and John Cena was said to directly confront Vince over the situation and what he felt was a poor joke.
    Here's Meltzer's actual words btw.

Regarding Zack Ryder not being on the show last night, someone from the company texted me last night and just said, "Vince hates the Internet." It is rather ironic that the company spends so much time burying Internet fans (remember an entire season of NXT) while at the same time plugging Twitter and Facebook incessantly. Welcome to WWE, though. A lot of WWE talents last night were pretty upset about it, thinking the company was just ****ing with Ryder, which, well, they pretty much were. There were "WE WANT RYDER" chants all night, not only on TV but during the commercial breaks.

    From another site...

Jesus, that's really poor form on Vince's part. A joke is a joke but to actually goes as far as to create a fake script.... Christ, what a sh*tty thing to do

Now it's definetly time to riot!!

I'll never understand the bulls*it behind WWE, honestly at a time when WWE are legimately looking to create new stars for the next generation of the company, someone gets himself over through an original and inventive way, and WWE do nothing but bury the guy..

Fair enough Ryder mightn't be the next Stone Cold or the Rock, but then again Who really know's? Just look at the Miz.. He's somehow managed to get himself over with Vince and fans.. On the flipside, the good thing about it for Ryder, is the more WWE/Vince bury him, the more the WWE fans will get behind him, and as soon as Vince smells money, Ryder will finally get his chance..

Having Cena and co. backing him and calling Vince on his crap is good too. Wonder what HHH makes of him?

OK Zack is pretty popular on Boards and with smart fans online, but it is not as if he has been a mainstay on Raw. Him not making an appearance is keeping in line with the norm.

Thats because Smarks are just like the snobby music fans who love to argue that popularly bands best songs are the one's "regular" fans have either never heard or dont quite like, or basically non hit singles, that where perhaps B-sides...

Wrestling fans are exactly the same, they get behind the guy, who casual fans havent quite jumped on the bandwagon with, but as soon as they do, the smarks drop him for the next latest and greatest.. Hopefully Ryder will be an exception to the rule but tbh i doubt it..

Aye we all remember that Jericho backlash....

    Bloodshed over CM Punk too.

How is that considered a joke? To me its more malicious. His home town, fans chanting for him and they dont show him. Every past raw he has been seen back stage for the last few weeks. Even had a match last week. Its mpre malicious than a just a rib. Seriously, who actually laughed besides Vince? Its more of a f**k you than anything.

Sounds more like the actions of HHH to me. I remember seeing a clip were they were asking a good few wrestlers what they thought of Zack and nearly all bar HHH were very complimentary.

Fair enough Ryder mightn't be the next Stone Cold or the Rock, but then again Who really know's?

He very well could be! when "Rocky Maivia" started with his blue tassles im sure no one believed he could be come THE MOST ELEC....(you know the rest)

Same with the ringmaster/stone cold - he made a name for himself, by himself and was rewarded! Ryder is basically being punished and it is a joke!

you were spot on about the miz - he was more annoying than zack will ever be when he was the "host" of smackdown, with his stupid "hoo rah" (i dont care if it is an army reference)

Absolutely! it's vince acting the c*nt again! i mean ryder face turn has to happen! and he is aligned with cena so he is perfectly placed to do it!

I really do think a huge part of this is down to the fact there's no real alternative for guys like Ryder :/

I know there's TNA but there's no way anyone can consider it to be on the same level as WWE, and that means the guys in WWE are forced to take this type of **** from Vince. If they don't like it, their other option is to take a massive pay and fame cut and leave to join another group who are lower than WWE. If there was another group on the same level as WWE, Vince wouldn't be able to pull stuff like that, but he knows that guys like Ryder will just sit and take it :/

HHH has nothing to do with it, every single report points that Vince acted alone on this and noone is happy with him over it.

I know the boys get ribbed alot when they make their way through the ranks, but this is way beyond that. This is just Vince being an absolute grade A ****. I'm delighted to hear that Cena went straight to Vince and told him the truth over his actions. If Zack isn't on Raw next week then Vince needs to hurry up and let his son in law take over.
