    Great night of fights!
Women's fight was a fcuking war. 1st round was as entertaining as any mens fight. I tipped it in the favour of Ryan, but perhaps a draw was fair enough. My FotN anyway.

McCormack was KO of the night, imo. Rushed out at the start and caught him lovely. No longer than 20 seconds.

Great banter between the Polish and Irish fans for the last 2 fights. Disappointed that Davern lost, he was class at the last CG. Great win for McGregor against Sowinski, bossed the whole fight.

Can't wait for the next one!

Was Sowinski not fighting Conor Mc Gregor?? I heard the judging for the ladies fight was very much for the local girl

Yeah he was, dunno why I put up O'Donnell.
I'd have given it to the local girl, tbh. Was a very even fight that could've gone either way though.

Alan Kavanagh def. Barry Connolly via UD
. Don't remember a whole lot about this fight, tbh. Didn't have a great view of it! Connolly was rocked a few times, iirc.
John McCormack Jnr def. John Peter Elmo via KO round 1.
    Slap and he was gone.
Rachel Ryan v. Celine Magee - draw. Awesome fight. First round was an absolute war, both were obviously wrecked after it. Fair enough decision.
Zbigniew Hormanski def. Abou Saw via UD. Complete mismatch. Saw was taken down constantly with ease, connected with a few kicks and punches but Hormanski bossed it.
Kieran O'Donnell def. Mark Kearns via TKO round 2.
Kearns quit after round 2, O'Donnell was well on his way to the win.
Michael Devlin def. Mick Brennan via armbar round 1. Happened so quick that I didn't even see it.
Hugh Harris def. Justin Doyle via armbar round 1. Same as above, tbh!
Lukas Cikotas def. Idrissa Tamboura via RNC round 1. Some decent exchanges at the beginning, iirc. Cikotas got him with a decent throw and mounted the back.
Mateusz Teodorczuk def. Kieran Davern via guillotine round 1
. Teodorczuk was fighting well and caught him with the guillotine unfortunately!
Conor McGregor def. Artur Sowinski via TKO round 2. McGregor dominated most of the fight. Caught him some decent shots when standing and had the better of it on the ground. Rocked Sowinski twice in the second and then finished him off.

I said just after it to one of the lads that it'd take some fight to beat it!

Has to be said, I've never seen a bad ladies match as they tend to leave it all in the cage so comparing them to men like it's a positive thing is understating there fights, well done girls

Most Fights were superb.. the girls fight was just brillient! would like to see a rematch , both were great fighters

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 963 ✭✭✭Richy06

What a great night. The girls put on some show and gave it every last thing they had. I though the takedown and spending most of the last round mounting her opponent would have given Celine the majority decision but it wasn't to be.

The atmosphere for the main and co-main event was superb and a they were two great fights. I loved the Polska/Irish exchanges going on in the crowd. I liked the set up too, the big screen was a handy touch as it was difficult to see what was going on at times.

I'm still recovering from the session afterwards!
