The more shows the better. More choice for the fighters is a great thing. Anywhere we can see a full fightcard?

Not necessarily true, with a limited pool of fighters some shows will end up with bad match ups and clubs just cant support all the shows they'd like, so they'll end up supporting the ones that support them as thats the fair thing to do..

If there where full pro shows that would be cool, but cant see that happening any time soon.

Rush Boxing club and Rush Martial Arts head coach.

I see what you mean about the small pool. But as the sport grows the clubs are popping up on a weekly basis so more fighters will be available. Match making is an issue but i said in another thread that i belive there were miss matches on Cage Contender this weekend past so in a way that shows that it can happen on all the shows. Even the "biggest" show.
This of course is my opinion.

Also thats what i meant about clubs supporting certian shows. Personally i will only go to fights with the best fighters on them. Not the one with the biggest hype machine. Only one fight last weekend took my interest the Dempsy/Walsh old skool bout. Other than that i didnt fancy the card.

Pro shows would be awesome. But like you say not any time soon. Unfortunatly:(

8 fights is fine. Close to the minimum but fine nonetheless.

Also there's probably 9 if anyone wants to fight my lad Anesh at 70kg?

not enough fights and if anyone pulls you're screwed.

I reffed an Ultimate Conflict show that had 7 fights due to pullouts and it was of the best shows I did last year. The new C class rules mean all the fights since their introduction have been much more entertaining and realistic. Lets try and avoid being typically Irish and knocking everything for the sake of it.

Gareth Chambers, Damian Zysk and Kieran Davern won, can't remember the rest. Fúckin missed the main event, only lasted for a few seconds I heard.

Was a good show, well worth the 22 quid. Hopefully there'll be few more on in the town.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,838 ✭✭✭✭3hn2givr7mx1sc

I heard Sowinski won the main event.

I was judging at this show really enjoyed it some good fights. There were nine fights in total which I thought was enough as people tend to get bored when there is fifteen or twenty. Best of luck with the next one.
p.s Really want to see connor mcgregor fight the guy who won the main event.

Good "small" show with a good crowd and some nice touches. Lots of dancing and such apparently but I didn't see any of that. We were well looked after but one suggestion would be to get a runner to bring the fighters from the dressing room to their waiting area. The cage was nice, I wouldn't like to be a striker in it as I reckon it was 16ft but the surface and padding were great I have to say and it did mean all action all the time.

Only saw a couple of fights and while I've heard good things about the headline lad (The Polish fella) I don't think the fight went long enough to see his skills. Morley either got clipped early or was overwhelmed I couldn't tell.

Oh and it's years since I've seen a fighter parade. I think it's good and I'll be doing it at my next show. OLD SKOOL!
