I am pleased to hear that seventies Rekord is not a cube of metal. Hopefully it will see the road again. Rekords dont often get mentioned on here, but were plentiful in the sixties and seventies.

their not scrapped ,their all removed in to another yard they have !

the garage & yards both sides of the road is now been rented out to a fella selling modern cars !

so thankfully they are still around ,,some are too far gone to save ,but theirs a lot of hard to find parts on them still !

hopefully the ones that are saveable will be !!! :)

So it seems, I don't know anything else about it though, engine might be gone, could be a scrappage scheme car.

Most of the Opels are in behind the wall at the moment, a lot of them are quite rotten though, a cool LHD Record there too.

As for the Rover...... it's a 1954 P4 60 (think it had an ONI reg, or so I'm told)

    I have that now :D

    DSCF5588.jpg

It is really rotten and beyond saviour, been sitting outside since 1990, but it has a few good parts left on it though I suppose, which I will strip.... might keep someone elses going, however the rest of the rust will be heading to the squisher, it really is a wreck :(
