    Good luck everyone!

I guess the work for it is all done at this stage so all I can offer at this stage is to get a good nights sleep.

You could always try the risky, but occasionally fruitful, venture of learning off a short story that you can adapt to any title.
(Of course I tried that, and ended up making up a new one completely from scratch in the actual exam, so it was a bit of a waste of time.)

Anyway best of luck to everyone tomorrow. I'm sure you'll all do great. :)

Gooooood luck everyone. Sure you'll all fly it!

Doesn't boards count as Paper 1 study? Utilising those wonderful linguistic abilities... In which case, you've all done AMPLE study. Ample.

Ugh. I woke at 6:20.... WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD?

I was going to get up and watch Geordie Shore but figured it would probably damage my brain so early in the morning..

It went well :) essay titles were kinda crap though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,962 ✭✭✭jumpguy

Paper 1 went loooovely. Did the QA on text 2 and QB on text 3 (diary entries). The essay titles weren't what I was hoping for (i.e. one I'd prepared word-for-word :P) but the one about technology and it's impact of young people suited me down to the ground. :)

Really tired now, nappage and then paper 2!

I did the one on technology noel! It was grand and I got in an epic John F Kennedy quote :D haha.
I'm absolutely wrecked though. And i'm dying for wordsworth/hopkins to come up tomorrow! Think i'll look over dickinson just incase.

I really would love a B3 in english so fingers crossed!

Did the essay on clothes.. I dont think i've ever wrote such a masterpiece before, the words the quotes the feelings. Was amazing ;D

Seriously i got 2 pages out of a rugby jersey and and a hoodie.. That's how easy it was for me D:
The other pages are more waffle bout the ole jeans and hats and shizz.
Examiner will have his mind blown.

*oh god i sound so arrogant haha sorry guys*

An essay on clothes? Sure you could have talked on about how they're the oppressive tool of the bourgeoisie.

I glorified them, and most aspects of them, said how each one had it's own little story to tell. Seemed like a good plan :)

Thought it was a fair paper today. Did Question A on the tight rope walker, wrote about Antarctica for my Question B about travel and did the "Importance of Technology for Young People" essay. Went great! Settled the nerves well.
