    Hi,

Hoping someone can help me, I have used polybond (PVA Bond) on ceilings in house after I scrapped back all the old paint, I have then tried to Paint over the Bonding (after a few days) with ceiling paint, but it bubbles in spots and then peels off like skin.

I have bonded all ceilings in the house, is there any way I can remove this fromt he cilings before I paint anymore???

    Thanks for any advice

Who told you to put polybond on ceilings?

Try painting a ceiling in the next room. If the same thing happens as happened on the first ceiling, you may have to BIN prime all the ceilings you have applied polybond to.

Remember, any parts that are bubbling or blistered will have to be scrope off and sanded down before priming.

This polybonding before painting is an old wives tale. The amount of people that do it is actually shocking. Modern emulsion paint is not designed to stick to p.v.a. which is what polybond is. If in doubt go to a good paint shop and ask there advice before doing anything in future.

Try coating with emulsion and if it blisters, let it dry as they should pull back. A thinned out coat of emulsion is what to first coat with.
