I'm trying to learn Arabic, been living in the Middle East for over a year. Its a difficult language, not at a level I want to be yet but hopefully I'll get there. I can read and write Arabic fairly well.

English and pretty fluent in German. Terrible Irish though, I always say I don't speak it, since I pretty much can't.

English, ****e Irish and Dutch. I can understand German (cos of the Dutch thing). I can understand bits of written Danish and Swedish too, but again that's cos of the Dutch thing, they all stem from German so you can get the bare basics of one from the other (if that makes sense)!

I could have a conversation in French if the other person spoke REALLY SLOWLY AND LOUDLY, WITH LOTS OF HAND GESTURES.

Can read Latin, lot of use that is.
