Hi, i know there has been a lot of questions about the JSA interviews and application process etc but i was wondering if anyone could answer a question or two..

I applied for JSA about a month ago, i went to my local office (Bray), with my application form filled out and any documents i thought would be necessary ie bank statements, p45 etc. After this short initial interview i was given a date for about a week later for another interview, for this i was asked to supply proof of rent and other documents to do with means testing, so i what i was wondering was should i still expect a call from an officer for means testing seen as i have already supplied all the info they wanted regarding this??

also, i was given a sign on date which was last tuesday, i attended this and was given another sign on date for next month, is this usual even though i have not heard if my claim is successful yet?

any info would be appreciated, thanks!

I had my interview last week and was given a sign on date next month and I also signed at the interview. I just assumed that meant my claim was successful? I got the social welfare card in the post today, does that mean my money is in the post office or do they send out a letter saying when my first payment is waiting for me?? I tried to ring them there but no answer of course....

They will send out a letter to inform you when your first payment will be at the PO and what day each week it will be there from then on.
