Because they usually can't wait to tell you.

And then they go on to prove it by showing you all the fantabulous things it can do.

I can make and receive calls & texts on my phone. There's an alarm clock on it too which comes in handy, and a camera thingy that I never use.

Thats all I want a phone to do.

But if someone else's phone can dance jigs, climb Everest, translate Latin verse and find its own way home from Siberia - Good. I'm happy for them.

But I really couldn't care less.

This is my rant of the month.

Just get a loan and buy one if you can't afford it.

You should try it its pretty cool, say if you see someone smiling or "posing", if you point the camera thingy at them and push the button it "takes" whats called a photograph, you havent stolen their soul and imprisoned it in a sort of lcd phantom zone for all eternity, so dont worry about that. It merely uses technology to capture the image of that person, or scenery, or dog for your future viewing pleasure.

I could never be jealous of someone who leaves their phone lying in a prominent place on the bar for all to see when I'm out for a night.
Instead of leaving it in their pocket where it belongs.

Go down to your local mobile telephone provider and burn down the shop.

    Problem solved.

Or buy a Samsung Galxy S from the shop.....and then burn it too ground.

Moral of the story, fire is good.

OP you either can't afford it or you do not have the technological know how to operate one. What's it gonna be?

Either way, the intensity of the jealousy you are portraying cannot be good for your health!

Instead of leaving it in their pocket where it belongs.

Some touch-screen phones have had problems with their screen when they're left in tight pockets... some even say in the manuals to take them out of your pocket when you're sitting down.

And I have an owl for sending messages, but it's still a lot more convenient to have many features in one item rather than having one item for every single feature.

And I'm confident you'd be hard pressed to be able to figure out which pictures were taken from a phone and which were taken from a camera, unless then pictures were taken by a professional photographer.

which barely matters as its still comingthrough a tiny lens. The size of the censor is chiefly used as a marketting ploy to make people think big numbers mean better quality.

I have a Samsung Google Nexus S and it can do bla bla bla bla bla.

I only use it to make and take phone calls, it was free from my provider.

No, really I do have one.

I've gone the opposite, I used to have a few smartphones (two nokia N95's and a HTC) but I kept breaking the fecking things because of the hobbies I have, so Now I'm back to a good oul brick of a Nokia that can take a tumble down a hillside no problem.
