While most trolls tend to possess the same qualities and have the same agenda has there ever been any infamous cases of trolling that truly impressed you or that you found highly entertaining?

Or are all trolls simply annoying fcuks?

A good trolling is a fine art, and one that is sadly becoming extinct on AH.

As a troll myself, I can say very few trolls are actually amusing or entertaining. Facekicker springs to mind as one.

Pighead, posting in the third person is the height of arrogance

But seems to be widely popular on boards
    Not by me anyway

Yes, they are and I'll add devoid of imagination to that description.

A good troll can be highly entertaining...most trolls are simply not good at it though as they lack the basic intelligence to move thing forward and evolve...they normally just hammer the same idea repeatedly until it's humour value is severely diminished or worse still they were unable to come up with a decent idea in the first place and are just far too obvious in their trollery.

Any of the ones that look like they're getting good usually get closed and banned for trolling.

    Whiteonion, yeah ?

I heard if you say that name three times in a mirror, Clark Gable will appear and slap you really hard.

I've been to scared to try it myself :-(

    Whiteonion and Whiteboy

If I were a mod I'd be running IP checks.
Whiteboy got banned from AH and suddenly Whiteonion all over the forum

I'm not just going on their name. Starting nonsense threads all over the place, they post pretty much the same ****e

I love trolling my friends in real life..and after attempt too pull a troll face.

While it not seem like muh here my favourite is with my friend when pissed going
"What an eejit,He thinks this road is straight when its curved...Eejit"
    "I DIDNT SAY THAT"
"But the road is curved how'd you think its straight"

    And goes on from there.

I re-call another time on a night out saying(Only jokingly) to a girl in YFG that FG supported the Nazi Party and hated jews just to see her flare up.

...I think I may be a bastard :pac:

    this is kinda redundant.
it's like asking "are practical jokes awesome or shíte?".
i've been subject to some of the most awesome and elaborate practicle jokes and shenanigans thanks to my extremely inventive mates, but there's always a good few who lack effort and imagination and will settle for just throwing the odd potshot your way, or putting raw meat in your bed, no art, just harshness.

some people can troll beautifully and give ya the complete package,
then countless dip**** teenagers in awe of this will try to replicate it without either the heart or the tools.

Yes, there is serious lack of freedom of speech in this country - plus people get so easily butthurt these days. Look a Rosanna Davidson sueing RYAN AIR because she was offended that no Irish chicks were used for the calender. The answer is simple, Irish chicks are not in the same league as other European chicks -- I'll probably get banned for speaking my honest opinion. :D

    And you deserve that ban

Only the admins can run ip checks. Though, it was a mod that told me that...

There's no such thing as Trolls, it's just a way of shutting up posters who you don't agree with - call 'em a troll....

this post may or may not contain elements of trollishness, peanuts and milk products. People who are allergic to these are all ghey.

Google David Thornes page. Even if they're not bonafide, they'd be wonderful if true.

I normally give Whiteonion the benefit of the doubt that he is in fact a troll, albeit a poor one.I f he genuinely believes what he posts then the world is a more twisted place than even i can buy into.

I agree. There are a couple who patrol the Donegal pages who are particularly guilty of this...

I got a 7 day ban from the Rugby Forum when i asked if Leinster rugby has a "bandwagon" of supporterts. my point was: 5 years ago about 200/300 fans attended games in Donnybrook and now 50,000 pack into Aviva (lansdowne road) Ban was for trolling.!! make up your own minds.

P.S. most of those that "slaughtered" me had joined Boards.ie in the last 2/3 years.!!
