Going to college isn't a job. You pay your fees and decide how best to use the resources made available to you.
Lecturers get paid. That's a job.

Lectures and their knwoedlge is what you are paying for.

Blackboard is a benefit, lecturers are not enforced to use it. Croppy so you pay your fees and are not getting a grant?

I know, and they should be. But the issue here isn't them not using it, it's them not being capable of using it properly.

I had letures that didnt use it at all, I had lectueres that took down the notes 2 weeks prior to exams and left a note saying "you should already have all these prior to exams", I had lectueres that have stuff in the wrong areas. I Had lectueres that didnt even pu assignements on blackboard but handed them out in the lectuer.

Its simple, if the course outline stated you had assignments and you didnt do anything you should of put 1+1 together and ether went to the lecterurs and talked to him or emailed him.

I also like it how you ignore my other question asking if you got a grant.

Also for your money back the goverment pays for your fees so you arent paying lectueres, you are paying registration fees for maintaince of the college while you are there.

This is why I wish the abolish college grants for all parties and introduce full fees into college, so people wont take it for granteded anymore.

*I am against college fees, but in some situations I really do think it might help sometime :P

Because it's entirely irrelevent and none of your business :)

No they don't. Don't make assumptions.

You're right its not a job, its a privilege that is paid for but part of the privilege of getting a education is doing your best/what's expected of you to achieve it.

Doesn't matter if it was the gov/mom/dad that paid, you should treat your privileges/blessings with respect.

I know you didn't pay for this course with your own money because if you put in the hours to work up the money for it, there's no way you'd waste it like this. (looked at your post history, turns out, like myself, its your second time at uni so you indeed paid for this year out of your own pocket. Dunno what to say really, I don't know if it was laziness or circumstances that lead you not to attend college and participate)

    resources such as lectures/tutorials?
Then I want my money back

If you want your money back because lectures/tutorials are not your preferred form of learning (college can distract some because of the social aspect), perhaps enroll in distant learning online with the open Uni institute? cheaper and everything is on a computer screen. I'm not actually joking either.

Yeah the money back thing was pretty tongue-in-cheek (along with most of my posts), I don't really care. Was a fun year and I passed everything so can't complain!

It's not a glitch, just a lecturer deciding to post them in a completely counter-intuitive area of Blackboard, accompanied by an announcement giving misleading information.

One of our lecturers did this too. Didn't make one blind bit of difference except for maybe the first time we clicked "Assignments" and nothing came up.
