Has anybody been on that asylum dublin page on FB its a joke most people post tunes that were releasedafter the asylum has closed & it worrys me as i really hope the night dosnt turn into just an ordnaery old skool night with tunes being played from after the asylum causeif it dose i think the small claims court il be going to get my monet back lol after all the asylum was opened for over 3 yrs & thousands of tracks got played there but ppl keep posting the same tunes last week i tried 2 do a bit of educating & iit just bothers me as the asylum closed 17 yrs ago & wit all the djs lined up i just hope they all play asylum tunes & not just average asylum tunes & that tunes get repeated but il hope 4 the best,jusst a little rant lol

I left that group, it's a fcukin joke with the amount of stupid tunes getting posted every 2 fcukin minutes, and ya have to keep deleting notifications it's a total pain in the ballox! I'll look forward to the gig but that group sucks balls for a living!!!0 -

Witch group is that? the last i checked there was about 7 Asylum groups.:)
It seems there are lots of young folk into the old tune's, there probably just a little confused about what tunes where played in what club etc..
So is there many from here going?

...and suppose you could say none of the above coulda come about if not for the aforementioned Don Letts , he was the pioneer DJ of the late 70's early 80's Reggae-Punk fusion sound and also responsible for Reggae outfit 'Basement 5' ....
he co founded B.A.D. with the then Clash guitarist Mick Jones , B.A.D forming from a merger of Don Letts 'Basement 5 & Mick Jones 'The Clash' so to speak. ok class dismissed!

So looks like a good few 'friends' from the thread have June 25th prioritised in their diaries as "Sorry i'm not available that night" in antisipation of what we all hope to be a Legendary night......any plans for a pre-gig meet n greet? Be good to get a chance to put some faces (and names) to the names

Bob Marley - One Love (Breakbeat Mix) I remember DJ Thyme (Deco C) playing this as his first track of his set one night in the Asylum donkies ago. He came on just after NR-Gex finished up their Live set and spun this. It was an all Rhubarb and Custard affair that night if you get my meaning... Jam Packed and everyone was on the same hyper happy buzz... The place went mental Gas when you look back.. :rolleyes:
