Repairing a plastic trough

Has anybody any ideas on how to fix a plastic trough? I forgot to turn back on the water after fixing a leak any my poly bull was not impressed with the lack of water and decided the trough was going to pay for it. Anyway, there are a few small cracks but one is going down the side about 1/3 of the way down and overlapping so the crack isnt flush on both sides.

Should i drill and place a support to the overlapping section or is there some way of fixing both sides together simply.

Brilliant. I wonder if aldi have soldering irons coming in soon? But its going to be hard to find a couple of vietnamese round here:D. I liked him melting in the clip to reinforce the weld.

alternatively you could try epoxy resin

last year repaired one using a gutter repair tube.Working fine since in shed with bulls so is well tested

Whats is a gutter repair tube?

Thanks bogman bass. I have some but i feel it needs more support as it is bent in and not going back together flush. I was keeping the epoxy resin in case i have to drill it and put in a length of iron bar to straighten it. Do you think the epoxy resin would hold with a bend in the trough?
