I have a quick question, are monitor audio bx5 floorstanding speakers bi ampable or not? and is it worth it,sound wise?
On the the back of them are four terminals ( an red and a black with 'lf' between them, and another red and black terninal above those with 'hf'between them) which sugests to my limited knowledge that i might be able to bi amp them.
My av receiver, marantz nr 1601,allows bi amping with bi ampable speakers.

Yes it should be possible, if you unscrew the terminals and remove the brass connecting plate.

Whether it sounds better or not is something you can try since your amp allows it. You'll either need biwire cable (4 cores) or run a second length of speaker cable to each speaker.
