Nigella recipe replace rum with what?

This woman is going to be the death of me but can't resist making another one of her naughty cakes. This one's pretty simple Chocolate Meringue Truffle Cake but the recipe calls for 60ml of rum, don't like the taste of rum and don't have any anyway. Can anyone suggest an alternative to the rum, something that kids will like as well.

Haven't seen the recipe but maybe orange juice would be an option, chocolate and orange is lovely, you could just add milk or water to balance the recipe if you wanted.
