Planning on going for a few pints this evening (hopefully) or tomorrow in Galway. As I don't get into town too much anymore since moving to the suburbs (and don't know the drinking scene anymore) I want to be told where I should go for a couple of quiet scoops.

All suggestions appreciated although I am under no obligation to listen. :)

How old are you ? (ie do you qualify to go to old-man pubs yet)

    What music do you like?

If you were drinking in the suburbs, would you prefer

    • East side: The Lantern / Huntsman / g ?
    • West side: Hanley Oaks / Sheridans / The Twelve?

Will try Ceolis, the Dail and Freeneys and finish in Sallys. In my mid 30's Mary, in Galway for years but just out of touch with where the craic is.

Paddy Fahy's in Bohermore. I keep telling people it's the place to hang out

Dail is good, has great crowd and yet it is fairly intimate downstairs. It is normally my starting point but Freaney's is great to meet the traditional Galway crowd.
