    Kangaroo is fantastic!

Anyway, the weirdest thing I've ever had was a coffee called Kopi Luwak in Indonesia, supposedly one of the dearest in the world. Visited one of the farms where this was made and had a nice fresh cup. Basically an animal called a civet eats the coffee beans, sh*ts them out and this is then used to make the coffee. Wasn't even all that great!

Had a weird mystery meat casserole thing in Kazakhstan that turned out to be mostly horse intestine & pancreas. Served with fermented camel milk. Also had fermented horsemilk there - weirdly warm and fizzy. I'm also pretty sure I've eaten cat (disguised as chicken) but that was from a Chinese restaurant near Rathmines, nowhere more exotic. My gran used to regularly serve up offal for dinner, so there are very few parts of a pig, sheep or cow that I haven't eaten (cheek to trotter, tongue through to kidneys & tripe).

    nothing that disgusting tbh

frogs legs, squid, various raw shellfish and fish, venison, ostrich, sliced cow tongue, pigeon, cow heart, kidney, liver (yum), probably other stuff I can't remember/didn't know what it was but I'd have little problem trying something new to see what it's like.

I love eating various types of entrails but I've never had any sort of animal that was exotic (bar ostrich mince- the most delicious flesh I have ever had the good fortune to eat).

No-one else here slightly freaked out by this post?! I've images of Adhamh washing it all down with a fine chianti?

Lived in Japan for a while. Ate lots of weird things there - raw chicken and Natto http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natt%C5%8D

were the top two. Raw chicken was fine. Natto was absolutely disgusting !

I ate an eraser once... :o

Totally not on purpose. I was fast asleep and woke up as I felt my teeth sink in to something soft. I spit out the rubber (it had turned in to three pieces after my chewing) I tossed it on the floor and told myself it was just a dream. When I woke up the morning after I found the half-eaten eraser on the floor next to my bed and remainders of it still in my mouth... :pac:

weirdest things i ate where definitely Deepfried Locust in a food market in Bangkok
and cooked Trantula in cambodia (you had to put yout hand into a bag of trantula's (live ones) and pick out one , then they would cook it for you ,

I couldn't bring myself to put my hand in , but did eat one , tasted fine

Maggot, grub and locust. The locust was difficult because he caught my eye just before he went in my mouth and I felt for him. What was even more difficult though was trying to kill him as I could feel his severed body parts hopping about my mouth and down the gullet.

I had reindeer balls( as in testes, not battered and fried) which were by far the worst. Microwaving is never the best way to cook your food but 15 seconds in the microwave might not have done them justice! :o

I've also tried most meats being sold like venison and horse. Rabbit stew. Taste as nice as they look :(

Also quail egg pizza and a spider to impress my mother, when I was 2.
