Eeeeh - that looks even worse! I'd say it tastes nice - chicken, egg - yum. But, I believe you can feel the little baby bones crunching in your mouth. That would be enough to put me off. Bad enough that prawns (which I love) are like eating fingers.

Well I know that sometimes the bones can be crunchy. But the one I ate had soft bones, kinda like the bone that you get in a tin of salmon.

I'll give you that. I do love tinned salmon, including the bones. Ok - carry on!! :D

I've eaten moose before. It was nice enough, just tasted like steak, pretty much.

    1. Eating dog meat in Hanoi (lived there for a couple of years) after seeing this http://bit.ly/mBc3kC on the way to the... ahem... restaurant. Tough, pungent, hard to swallow, but still man's best friend.

    2. Drinking a shot of ruou (pron: zee-oh), again in Hanoi (or just outside to be geo-pedantic), with a still-beating snake's heart in it. Yes, I saw Ramsey knock one back like a girl, and no, it is NOT a conduit for "5 times one night".

    3. This is well within the realms of taste, compared to the other two, but I feel compelled to post it because it will surely win serious fans amongst those who try it for the first time... (and sorry for the long post)...
    - put 2 slices of white bread into one half of the toaster
    - on one side - butter, wholegrain mustard, deli ham
    - on t'other - butter, mashed banana, white cheddar
    - close it over, butter the two non-toasted sides, then bung it in a sand wedge maker
    You won't look back.

Crab claws. I thought I'd get one, I got about 10, all arranged around a lettuce salad. Looked like a fcuking tarantula was hiding under the lettuce, gross!

    Kangaroo..........Fcuking horrid.....

I had kangaroo before and thought it was quite nice.
Crocodile at a friend's BBQ. They had gone to a shop that sells very out there foods.

It was horrendous. It had the consistancy of fish but tasted like dry chicken. Horrid!

Had crocodile once, and agree that it tastes horrible.

I was in Slovenia and saw horse burgers on the menu. Had to try that. It was ok, edible, but no replacement for a beef burger.

I love eating various types of entrails but I've never had any sort of animal that was exotic (bar ostrich mince- the most delicious flesh I have ever had the good fortune to eat).

My experiences with unusual foods have mainly been with the composition of the dish, for example in a Korean restaurant while eating a squid, bean curd and chili dish there was this thing floating in it which I thought was a large bit of tofu. When I bit into it, it transpired to be a fried egg.

Strange place for a fried egg, dontyathink?

I've eaten Kangaroo, Ostrich, Escargot, Puffin, Reindeer, Foal, Octopus, Veal, Pigeon, Cow tongue, Squid...

    And now I'm hungry...:D

Warthog or Kudu, although they're pretty much like pork and goat to be honest. Durian was maybe the weirdest tasting thing I've eaten.

Cockroach which is very nutty in taste. Didn't like the texture though...or its appearance. Also had live octopus...well it's cut up into pieces, but it wriggles around for several mins.

The flesh of my fellow passangers after our plane crashed in the Andes coming back from a rugby match.

    Tasted like chicken.
