Have seen it happen in a cinema once to a guy he was sitting a few rows behind 2 teenage girls, the 2 girls seemed right morons, you could see them putting up their camera phones taking pictures of him.

I was a beautiful balancing act they performed between hiding their actions and being blindingly obvious.
They seemed to be (at least pretending to be) trying out new cameras, and they tried to have at least one of the girls occasionally within the picture, but they were gesturing to the guy so clearly, almost to the point of pointing at him, and giggling all the time.
