You can't tell how someones emotions based around their eyes, or any facial expression for that matter!!
If someone seems in good form, the person is in good form. If someone seems in bad form, they're in bad form!
What is up with people telling you how you feel based on your eyes?!?
    What a load of ****e!
Do people actually think peoples eyes reveal anything about how a person is feeling?

I can tell from your eyes that you're upset about something....

Maybe if you kept your eyes closed, then they wouldn't be able to tell how you are feeling.

Or wore sunglasses, might save all the hassle from walking into things.

It's very interesting, and definitely true, I think.

What I find weird though is that I can never pin down how the eyes are different. They seem to look the same but I can recognise the change in them.

Maybe an ocular expert can enlighten us.

If partaking of a touch of weed, the terms 'pissholes' and 'snow' spring to mind.

You have to look at them in the eyes not around the eyes.

"Its all in the eyes my friend.." if someone is in good humour their eyes are usually wide, glossy with a twinkle. If they are in bad form their eyes are narrow and slitty. Ok?

If they draw a love heart over them instead of a dot, it means they're happy.

You mean gay? Sure that's grand nowadays.

But do people actually believe this crap about eyes telling all.
It's a load of ****e. People who try to work out a persons emotions based around their eyes are obviously lacking intuition.

    Tell that to Paul Elkman

I don't get this thing, where people think something isn't possible just because they can't do it.

Eyes are often a good judge of character for me. As for mood, its a toughy.

Apparently a way to tell the difference between a real smile and a fake one is that the crow's feet around your eyes will inadvertently crease up more if it is genuine but remain normal if you are faking.

Also if someone is genuinely pleased to see you they will inadvertently raise their eyebrows for a split second.

If someone is crying or something I guess you can tell by there eyes, and if someone is laughing you can see it in there eyes after they've stopping smiling.
But if you're just talking to someone and they decide to tell you how you're feeling based solely on your eyes, that's just idiotic.
You can't just meet someone in daily life and know anything about how they're feeling just by looking at their eyes when they're face is completely neutral. People need to stop psychoanalysing people when they have no qualifications to do so:rolleyes:

    Yes, you can.

You either notice it or you don't, don't feel bad Teddy.

The pupils of your eyes dilate depending on your mood so it is possible..

No. If someone is laughing their head off I realise their eyes will be the most expressive part of their face that people notice, because they will look different than usual.
But if you're just chatting to someone and they said something like they saw hurt or happiness in your eyes, and you may be feeling the opposite inside, that is obviously retarded.
People seem to do it all the time, making snap judgements about someones eyes.
Why not just ask the person before psychoanalysing ??

I have to say you're wrong Teddy.

    It is entirely possible.

    You just don't notice it.

So you're saying if I met you tomorrow face to face, you could tell how I'm feeling?
    Come on, get real!

    Look into my eyes -

    you will see -

What you mean to me -

    Search your heart -

    search your soul -

And when you find me there you'll search no more.

The eyes are always the same. It's the eyelids that make the expressions. One should say "I can tell from your eyelids."

    No they're not. :)

Probably, you'd probably be feeling cold, tired and lost, because I live in the middle of nowhere and I wouldn't let a stranger into my house.

I'm just never going to agree with the notion so there's no point in me arguing the point any longer.
I just don't think people should do it, and more importantly bring it up around a group of people for discussion.

Now you're just contradicting yourself Teddy.

How can they do something that can't be done? :P
