I know that you must be listed as a member of one of the occupations on the 457 list to qualify for the 457 Visa. But how else is it different to a WHV? are you allowed stay with employers longer? or are 457 visas just working holiday visas converted wen you've been in Oz for two years?

A 457 is an employer sponsored visa, once sponsored you can stay for up to 4 years. You can only work for said employer and if you leave/lose your job you have 28 days to find a new sponsor or leave the country.

The hard bit is finding an employer willing to sponsor in the first place.
