She's great for 85 in fairness.

And some people say she doesn't have to work for her money. :D

And how much an hour does she get for this?

    What?

The Book of Kells is unbelievable, both in terms of its age, historical significance, and level of detail, especially considering when it was made.

And the Long Room is beautiful; it looks like what you'd imagine a proper library to look like. I mistakenly thought that most of the libraries on Trinity's campus would be that magnificent; boy was I wrong. :o
I thought it was pretty crap tbh...

Your opinions aren't causing any problems.... So people are only allowed to take to the streets if they support the visit?

Of course, those supporting the visit were actively encouraged to line the streets...yet Dublin looks like a ghost town. Says it all really. No warm welcome here, just paid government lackeys and social "elite" licking their lips at the prospect of a slap up Dublin Castle meal at the expense of the tax payer. I'm sure these scenes will have tourists visiting Ireland in droves...

I wonder how much of this she takes in considering the thousands of people shes met down the years.

Is it a case of smile and look interested or is she briefed before hand on who she'd be meeting.

Just back from the protest at Dorset street, riot police were out, and plenty of stuff being thrown, including fireworks of some kind. A fire was lit on the street too. Nothing that exciting all in all though, could've been worse.

The protestors didn't seem to realise the Queen was long gone from the Gardens of Remembrance and in Trinity already..

Putting up a youtube video at the minute, be up in a bit.

It's a pity we can't hear what she's saying and not meeting ordinary Paddys.

I haven't the faintest but would you do it? The Queen has had virtual no private life since 1952.

Will the Queen be giving any kind of public speech during her visit?

    Trinity is looking well.

With the streets empty it all feels like when parents have some important guests over and the kids are brushed aside / kept out of view.

Doesn't she basically do this like 200 days a year? Yeesh.

Where's Prince Phillip? They should just mike him and send him around the city on his own. :p

In the long line of people ready to shake the queen's hand, who would be the most unlikely/funny/random person there?

He looked like a nite club bouncer with his arms crossed. That was close as we will get to a Ronan O'Gara moment I'd say :D.
