Quick question - why the **** is the British Queen laying a wreath "in memory of all Irish who have lost their lives in the fight for Irish freedom"?
Is it just me or is that highly insulting to us all? And don't even attempt to paint me as a 'looney republican' when I say this - how can she do that even though she and her army continue to occupy part of this Island?

I'm just looking for a rational debate here.

Why are people a bit thick about this? Its pretty clear what the intention is - to officially recognise by the UK state that Irish men and women fought for Irish freedom.

They helped her get a high score?

    Exactly.

Shes welcome by some on here. In reality by the majority she is really not welcome.

You dont have to protest to oppose the visit.

    You wish.

I couldn't give a toss about the visit, but it's as plain as day that you're upset that you're only amongst a small crowd of people vehemently against it.

Will I requote your claim about people who disagree with you being insecure, or will the penny drop by itself ?

If she didn't you would be the first one to say "why could she not even recognise our Independence by laying a wreath at the garden of remembrance".

I'm Irish and I'm not insulted with her doing it. Speak for yourself sunshine!

1209 The army bomb disposal unit has been informed of a suspicious device in the Phoenix Park in Dublin.
The unit is currently on route to inspect the device at the Ashton Gate.

Still in shock at that. Had to rewind it a few times. Just wondering what Obama will do when he comes.

I switched to Sky News during the ads.

Trust them to focus on a tiny number of protesters shouting 'Queen Out' in Parnell Square. :(

stfu about the 'majority'. Let people speak for themselves.. if they want to protest then good luck to them, if they want to wave the union flag while pissing themselves with excitement then good luck to them too.

Personally, I'll be happy as long as there's no violence

If you’re so anti the Queens visit why don’t you make a placard and go out on the streets and protest – you’d soon find out one way or the other how popular your views were among ‘ordinary people’.
Still, it’s probably easier to sit anonymously in front of a computer and spew your bile around.
    Talk about barstool republicans.
You my friend are a muppet – and a cowardly one at that.

Tenner says she'll be spotted locked, with a kebab in hand, skirt tucked into the knickers, leaving coppers tonight!

Think that was an anti "We Will Rock You" musical protest.

I felt embarrassed to be an Irishman watching Sky News reporting bombs and watching that backward gob****e who was speaking on behalf of Eirigi:mad:

Free speech. Their opinion no matter how stupid needs to be heard.

Good question, it's because their memory and what they stood for is cheap, sold for a couple of tatty photo ops in a cute green dress and a load of meaningless guff.

Oh dear. The vast majority must be quietly hiding away from the light of day.

Where oh where are the vast majority of people who oppose the visit if not out protesting peacefully to make their views known?

Hmmmm...... some people on this thread are telling porkies I think!

Incidently is it just me who think it's cool that the Queen has come in fancy dress as an Aer Lingus stewardess?

    Michael O'Leary will be raging!

Connolly thought that socialsim would work and look how that ended up. He was a loon.

Socialism and Communism are not the same thing. This is a misconception that so many people have. Communism doesn't work, socialism on the other hand can and does. We live in a social welfare state, for example. That is socialism in action - unemployment benefits, disability benefits, university grants, back to school allowances, the trade unions. I wouldn't want it any other way.

    Studio: Excellent, such as?
Reporter: Well one wishes her all the best, and states she felt proud when she saw her maj, and another, well em....okay I'll just get it out of the way - another said his prick sack is swelling with pride.

By letting Eirigi speak we ensure that people realise how stupid they are.

And we all get a good laugh too.

Probably for the same reason that World War participants do around the world.
