RTÉ will be spending more money covering the English Queen's visit than they did for the 90th anniversary of the 1916 Rising.

"RTÉ will be providing extensive live television, radio and online coverage, special programmes and extended news bulletins of the visit to Ireland by the Queen"

    http://www.rte.ie/news/2011/0516/televisionschedule.html

And to think ye all a problem with the Royal Wedding coverage. That was nothing compared to the coverage 'Her Maj' will be getting.

And dont lie, you will all watch this as well.

I heard something about the visit being seriously hindered in Cork. Something about Prince William being stuck in Middleton?
I hear that the royal visit has run into traffic problems in Cork. Something about Prince William being stuck in Middleton?

It wasn't that funny the first time.

    ;)

Four days of coverage for an old biddy wandering around the place. You could have a drinking game for everytime the words "historic" and "maturity" are used but you would be dead in a half an hour.

and i didn't buy the sindo, it was just lying there. honest!!

She is more than welcome down here in Leitrim. She can work on the bog with the rest of us before headin into the pub for a pint of porter and a rasher sandwich.
